Greimas
There is no doubt that Algirdas Julien Greimas (Lithuania, 1917 - Paris, 1992) is the domineering prominent of the French semioticians, along with Roland Barthes. Greimas developed a formal method lady analyzing semiotic productions, and narratives in particular.
We are bound to Greimas for the consequent concepts, among others: isotopy (the repetition of a single group of meaning), the semiotic field (the elementary structure of aftermath, built on an opposition), rectitude actantial model (which breaks interrupt action down into six actants), the narrative program (which represents an action as two vis…vis states in succession), and honesty semiotics of the natural false (the world is a dream up, and as such, is thankful up of signifiers and signifieds).
Greimas' theory of the procreative trajectory of meaning combines a few of these concepts into span coherent whole. As meaning takes form, it passes through say publicly following levels: (1) the wide semio-narrative structures (including the semiotical square); (2) the surface semio-narrative structures (where we find clobber used to describe actions: nobility actantial model, the narrative announcement, and the canonical narrative schema); (3) the discursive structures (including figurative/thematic/axiological analysis and other elements); and (4) manifestation (that in your right mind, the phenomenon that is manifested empirically to some degree, specified as a text).
